What is friend?

After more than a month...

Here I am, I have not written anything for more than a month now. I don't know what I was doing all this while and I dint come to write on my blog? Anyways I want to share this.

The other day I was in the train going back home after work....I was standing since I dint get the seat. All the ladies in the compartment were looking tired and dint even bother to smile at each other...forget that, they look at each other when some one ask them to move so that the standing person can sit. And even while doing that they don't smile. You must be wondering what/why I am saying especially the people who don't travel by train and the people who travel must be wondering SO?

The lady got in the train with a baby girl who must be 8-9 month old. The moment she went inside a lady must be 35-40 years old got up and gave her the seat. And after that everybody was smiling looking at the kid, was tying get her attention, and during that course even were smiling at each other. And when the mother got up with the baby girl to get down as their station had come everybody was saying the kid bye.

It is so amazing that when they see each other the ladies don't smile but when they see a kid they all start entertaining her and start smiling at each other.

Just hope that I come back soon.

KHUDA KE LIYE - DEKHO!

Khuda Ke Liye starts as a story of two rock musician brothers Mansoor and Sarmad are at the prime of their careers and are based at Pakistan. The younger, Sarmad however comes in contact with a religious extremist group headed by Moulana brainwashes his mind into believing that pursuing music is against Islam. Slowly and subsequently he gives up music, starts keeping a beard and separates himself from his family to join the fundamentalists.

The story diversifies into a parallel track where Sarmad’s uncle is settled in London is worried of losing his only daughter Mary to a British guy who she is in love with and wants to get married to. Despite the fact that the father himself is in a live-in relationship with a British woman! He justifies his double-standards offering the excuse that Islam allows a man to have relationship outside their religion but not a woman. So he gets his daughter to Pakistan to by lying to her that they are going to meet his family and get her married with a prospective Pakistani groom. Funny part is we have seen such Scene in a recently released Hindi movie Namastey London, but this one fortunately doesn’t lead to exploiting patriotic sentiments but on the contrary shows how the daughter is cheated in settling in country, absolutely alien to her.

The father initially asks Mansoor to get married to Mary but when he refuses, Sarmad is approached. Sarmad agrees and Mary is forcibly married off to him at the outskirts of undeveloped Afghanistan. The father heartlessly leaves Mary behind in a region so rural that he finds difficult to use the toilets there. He does all this just because his descendants are Pakistanis!

On the other hand, the liberal Muslim, Mansoor’s story proceeds as he migrates to US to study music. Fall in love with a US girl and also gets married to her after the approval of his family. But unfortunately after the 9/11 attack he is wrongly accused of being involved with terrorist organizations since he’s a Muslim.

The Movie remarkably reveals the plight of Muslim in three different continents and connects them in a fascinating way to comprehensively capture all interconnected issues. Not only does the film exhibit a drift between the Muslims and the Western World but also internally amongst the Muslim community amid the Liberals and the Extremists.

The climax is set in a courtroom and it clears all ancient myths about Islam of men growing beard, women being behind veil and youngsters abhorring music and Western attire.

Naseeruddin Shah playing a Muslim cleric who gives a disclosing discourse on how the fanatic fundamentalists manipulate Islam for their personal gains. All in the name of God!

Language wont be an issue since there is Urdu and English spoken primarily in the movie.

Music undoubtedly is a highlight with the Sufi rock-number Bandya and the devotional track Allah Ho.. this is definitely in my playlist now!

All I can say is for God’s sake, don't miss Khuda Ke Liye!

Essel World Mein Rahungi Mein!

I had a BLAST!

I had gone to Essel World with the gang of people whom I know for a few months only and had second thoughts whether I should go or not? Then I went since I wanted to go to Essel World from years and nobody was ready to come with me for their own reasons... so I did not wanted to miss this golden chance of going there...and also it is always said something better than nothing! I followed it thankfully and guess what I had a blast! I mean I really enjoyed with people whom I really dint know well or you can say in other words known but strangers in other ways....I sat on the first ride with Ratan and then the list goes on and on....

I sat in thunder which I love the most with Ratan, Sunisha, Supreet and Amol. Then I sat with Deepali with on Hoop Lula(I don't know what it is called) but it screwed my neck but guess what I still sat thrice on it with different people to name them with Jonathan and I forgot the name of the third person.. :P but the next day my shoulders were paining.

Then I sat on rainbow thrice, twice with Binda and once with Sunisha, Vigneshwari, Subha and Amol.

Then Enterprise made me feel dizzy but I still sat in it once with Deeplai and second time with Ratan.

Then I also sat in Rock and roll with Ratan and went on yelling continuously the belt is hurting me :) and the next day my innominate bone was paining.

I did Bowling with Deeplai and Sneha and had fun doing the same which made my hand pain the next day.

Also I did Ice skating for the first time :) though I did not enjoy it much but still was a good experience it is not the same as roller skates. Since I had assumed it was the same and thought it will be easy for me to do.

I really enjoyed the trip to the amusement park.

Thanks to Binda, Deepali, Sunisha, Subha, Deepika, Vigneshwari, Ratan andAmol

Want to again and sit in Aqua Dive!

Death at a Funeral

Hilarious movie!

Death at a Funeral is a British comedy.

The story goes like this...

On the morning of their father's funeral, the family and friends of the deceased arrive shaken up with the news. The son, Daniel, is the one who arranged the funeral at his own cost. And also knows that he will have to face his flirty, blow-hard, famous-novelist brother Robert, who's just flown in from New York. Meanwhile, Daniel's cousin Martha and her dependable fiance Simon are desperate to make a good impression on Martha's edgy father--a plan that literally goes out the of the way when Simon accidentally consumes a designer drug on their way to the funeral service, that leaves him in a more or less temporary disorder of hallucination and nudity in front of his potential in-laws. Then comes the real shocker... a mysterious guest who threatens to expose an earth-shattering family secret. As comedic havoc and unfortunate accidents arise on every front, it is now up to the two brothers to hide the truth from their family and friends, and figure out how to not only bury their beloved father, but also the secret he's been keeping that he was an ambisexual.

Thanks to Sunisha and Kamlesh I had fun :)

Jodha Akbar

Awesome Movie!

It is a love story about a marriage of alliance that gave birth to true love between Akbar (Hrithik Roshan) and Jodha (Aishwarya Rai Bachan).

It is a well directed byAshutosh Gowariker. And the music by A R Rehman is very soothing. The costumes of Jodha by Neeta Lulla are wonderful.

What else I can say? It is a MUST WATCH movie at least ONCE.

Off late I am standing in the train while travelling :(

Can you believe that even in ladies special train I don't get place to sit till I reach my destination....when all the 12 compartments are only for ladies..

I am tired of this... where I need to stand and come to work and even while going home... Railway authority says they have increased the trains but where are they???? I mean when in each compartment people are hanging, standing, and the rowdies sitting on the roof tops..

I hope I get seat to sit today while going home...
